Hauganes has been through good times and tougher times through the years just like almost every little town in the rural areas of Iceland. Fisheries has been an important part of our lives from the very beginning, hard working individuals making salted fish and dried fish for export to Spain, Italy, Portugal, Greece and even Nigeria.
