Hauganes is located in on the west side of Eyjafjordur bay in the north of Iceland which opens up straight to the Arctic Ocean. The sea is full of healthy fish, codfish, haddock, halibut among other species. The humpback whales and minke whales are common here due to the rich fishing grounds.
You can take a walk down to the pier with a fishing rod or you could sail with the Whale Watching team who offer Sea Angling tours and Whale Watching.
